The Danish exhibition huntered piglets to death savings: “This is criminal”

A fairly disturbing art installation in Denmark has caused a turmoil on social media after it became known that three living piglets are raised to death by refusing them to eat and water for the project. According to a report in the Ny postThe provocative exhibition called “And Now You Care”, which was developed by the artist Marco Evaristi, was opened last week in the capital Copenhagen.

According to Mr. Evaristi, he hopes that his art installation will shed light on the cruelty of modern pig production in the Nordic country, in which approximately 25,000 piglets die due to poor breeding conditions every day.

“The exhibition” and now she takes care of it, “asks a simple question: Should we see that the blood of the Dannebrog flows before we take responsibility? In the works, Dannebrog is transformed by a national symbol into a mourning flag -an emblem for the millions of pigs that we send to death every year, wrote Mr. Evaristti in one in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -in -. -In -In -In -in -Mstam, on a feri flag that lies on the Danish flag on the Danish flag.

“Will we look away further – or take responsibility? The exhibition is not just an aesthetic experience, but a mirror of our own conscience. It insists on action,” added.

Social media reacts

When the news of the installation became viral, social media users reacted angrily and questioned the artist's ethical and moral obligation.

“What kind of person would these poor animals die slowly? A user, while another was added:” This is disgusting. To prove a point by being just as bad or worse. Where is the artist's moral conscience? “

A third commented: “This is criminal and should now be stopped. Anyone in Copenhagen who can end and is not complicit.”

Animal Protection Denmark, the largest and oldest animal welfare organization in the country, expressed mixed feelings regarding the installation.

“We completely understand the artist's outrage. However, we do not agree that three piglets, three individual living things, should be starved and prevented from drinking it. It is illegal and it is abuse of animals,” said Birgitte Damm, a spokesman for the organization.
