The district chief of the district set the date of the elections of the Martinez Unified School District Board board date

MThe Artinez Unified School District will ask its voters in region 3 to choose a new school board on June 17.

The headmaster of Contra Costa County, Lynn Mackey, decided last week that a petition that demanded the special elections was legally sufficient. The district will carry out the election by post.

The petition ends the provisional appointment of Brittany Ayala, which was installed in the position of the district council of the district.

The position was previously held by Yazmin Lamas before it was elected to the contra Costa County Board of Education. The board will continue four members until the election.

“The petents fulfilled the criteria for a special election, which is to be called,” said Macke in a statement. “I hope that the voters of this region will email mails in their ballot papers for their school authority representative.”

The petition required signatures of 1.5% of the 4,182 registered voters in area 3. The 135 signatures submitted, checked the Department for Contra Costa County Clerk recorder elections 126 and exceeded the required 63.

People who are interested in this position must submit their candidacy papers on March 21 to 5:00 p.m. Instructions for instructions can be found on the website of the Contra Costa County Clerk Recorder elections.
