New Haven-Das Center for Inclusive Growth is now ready to meet community members to discuss the long-term strategies in order to achieve economic growth that will benefit all residents of New Haven-especially those who are historically left behind.

“These things always take longer than I would like to roll,” said Mayor Justin Elicker and added that he believed that some of the delays were caused by the process of looking for the right person to direct the agency.

This person is Dawn Leaks Ragsdale, the executive director of the center.

Ragsdale said the center will hold six sessions of the personal public community next month.

“The April meeting takes place with Conncat as a confirmed partner for the districts of Dixwell and Newhallville,” said Ragsdale in E -Mail. “The May community meeting will collect the West River and Westville districts, and the Westville Village Renaissance Alliance will act as our partner.”

Ragsdale added that all meetings are accessible to the public and encouraged all residents to participate, even if it is not the neighborhood in which they live.

Ragsdale said you expect the plan to be ready to be shared by the end of the year.

“It is important to note that this plan will not be part of the center,” she said. “The city of New Haven will have the plan and accept it as a leading document for growth. Together with the municipality and all stakeholders who are responsible for the implementation of the plan, the city will be. The main task of the center will be to hold all of this plan for this plan.”

The center was founded in a partnership between the city and Yale University about two years ago, which has committed 5 million US dollars for the efforts over five years, said Elicker.
