The federal investigation ends without fees, says Quelle – NBC Boston

The federal investigation of the Karen Read case has ended and no charges are raised against the law enforcement authorities, a source with direct knowledge says NBC10 Boston.

This investigation played an important role in the first legal proceedings against Read, which was accused of killing her friend Boston police officer John O'keefe by playing him with her SUV.

Experts for crash reconstruction, which were hired by federal prosecutors, who examined how the case was handled, came to a different conclusion, a theory that could discuss the Read's lawyers in front of the jury. They could not get a unanimous decision, which led to a Mistrial this summer.

Read's repetition transactions are for April with the continuation of a large trial in which the prosecutors are expected to discuss the defense accident reconstruction experts – on Tuesday.

See the hearing on Tuesday on the digital platforms of NECN or NBC10 Boston, including YouTube, at 7:00 p.m. on NBC10 Boston to get a new episode of “Canton Confidential”.

After judge Beverly Cannone said that she had read “serious concern” about new information in the Karen case – the public prosecutor's assertion, an unknown payment by defender – the hearing was suspended. The following will probably happen if the hearing returns on Tuesday and other current updates. Follow NBC10 Boston:
