The fire brigade appoints the first lieutenant of the first female lieutenant

Little Rock (Katv) – The North Little Rock fire brigade officially appointed her first lieutenant/paramedic.

The department congratulated Lieutenant Melanie Platt on Monday:

The department says since it joined on July 30, 2018 and that it has shown commitment, resilience and an unstoppable spirit.

Leutnant Platt has already taken the driver's seat for brand engine 4.

In a post on Facebook she writes:

Man who can work and work for such a great department is a real dream that becomes true. A lot of hard work and resilience brought me here and it is just the beginning. I don't mind that I mourn the back seat here, it's too fast.

The North Little Rock fire brigade encourages those who are interested in a career in fire fighting to contribute to the North Little Rock Fire Department.
