2025 security duration to remedy behavioral health in emergency services

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has announced that the security status of 2025 will concentrate on behavioral health in emergency services.

The initiative, which takes place from June 15th to 21 The campaign will promote awareness and provide strategies to break the stigma in the search for support for stress and psychological well -being.

The topic for 2025, “Break The Stigma: Behavioral Health Reset”, includes a structured program with daily focus areas: recognition, education, strategies, authorization and training. According to the NFPA, rescue workers often have a high degree of stress, but can feel uncomfortable to express their fights. This reluctance can lead to long -term psychological health problems, which affect both personal well -being and work performance.

Departments that participate in the loss of security are encouraged not to pause not activities in order to concentrate on educational and training meetings that behave awareness of the healthcare system. The initiative aims to provide practical instruments for supporting team members and reducing the risks of mental health.

Cooperation between fire brigade organizations

Safety Stand Down is a joint effort in which the department for security, health and survival department of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), the NFPA, the Fire Department Safety Officians Association (FDSOA) and the International Association of Fire Fighters (Iaff) are involved.

In the Third June week, which takes place annually, the campaign focuses on reducing avoidable injuries and deaths within fire and emergency services. Every year a specific security problem is highlighted and the departments are encouraged to improve their protocols and training courses.

In order to prepare the event, resources are made available on the campaign website to support departments in planning and implementing activities that are organized with the topic 2025.

NFPA to the moderator of quiz and competition for the participants

As part of the campaign, the NFPA will organize the quiz of fire brigade safety protection in order to strengthen the awareness of behavioral health in emergency services.

Participants who complete the online quiz are entered in competitions, whereby 200 people are selected by random to obtain a challenge coin of the commemorative.

Additional tools and action plans are expected to be published in the weeks before the event. Updates are provided on the campaign website that contain educational materials and implementation guidelines for departments.
