The fire in the Uptown Charlotte Tavern has a large reaction that pulled the 2nd alarm

Charlotte Fire met a second alarm when he fought against the fire in a shop in E. Morehead Street.

Charlotte, NC-a two-alarm fire broke out on Saturday morning in the Morehead Tavern in Uptown Charlotte and prompted a major reaction from Charlotte's fire brigade.

The building fire broke out at 8 a.m. in the Caldwell Street in 300 block of the East Morehead Street. The fire was visible when firefighters arrived and smoke from the shop.

Firefighters escaped a second alarm and escalated the reaction to bring more crews and equipment to fight the growing fire.

Firefighters work to contain the flames and prevent the spread of spreading to nearby buildings in the busy area in the city center.

The authorities have not yet published any information about possible injuries, the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
