Fort Worth shoots in the restaurant owner

The background story:

It happened shortly before 4 a.m. on March 12th in a restaurant in the 1100 block of the terminal road.

The police said the officials responded to a burglary alarm that started in the restaurant. They were in the background when they discovered a man with a gun.

“The officials gave him verbal orders to show them his hands, but he did not keep up with,” said the Fort Worth police in a press release. “For fear of her safety, an official fired his service weapon on the man. He was not hit.”

The police said the man immediately complied with and took custody. Then the police learned that the man was actually the owner of the restaurant.

Someone else had supposedly broken into the restaurant and the storage area.

The owner was released without being arrested.

Nobody was injured.

What we don't know:

The police have not yet said when the restaurant owner addressed his gun on the officials or if he did something that prompted one of the officials to “fear their security”.

It is unclear whether civil servants are exposed to possible disciplinary measures.
