The head of the Ministry of Finance asks Canada, Mexico, to meet the US tariffs in China

Top Mexican officials meet with US cabinet members for trade talks before March 4, when the tariffs proposed by President Donald Trump are supposed to come into force on Mexican and Canadian imports. The US Finance Minister Scott Bessent described Mexico's proposal to achieve the US tariffs for China as “very interesting” and suggested that Canada do the same.

Mexican Deputy Minister of Economics Vidal Llerena mentioned that Mexico is considering his guidelines with those of the United States and Canada in the direction of China, including the assumption of further measures against cheap goods.

Canada's Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said that Canada is open to discussions about the agreement of the US tariffs in China.
