The Irmo City Councilor Erik Sickinger was charged with a minor for criminal sexual behavior

The 42 -year -old Erik Sickger was charged and the Law Enforcement Division South Carolina was examined.

Irmo, SC – an IRMO council member was charged with several crimes in which a minor was involved.

According to the booking information in Lexington County, the 42 -year -old Erik Sickinger is charged with three cases of criminal sexual behaviors with minor, second degree and three cases of the contribution to the crime of a minor and the indictment of loosening, temptation or attempt to attract or seduce children.

Sickinger was elected in the City Council of Irmo in 2020 and was appointed mayor Pro TEM in 2023. According to his biography on the website of the city of Irmo, he focused on the commitment in the community and the neighborhood issues in his official tasks as a member of the council.

Sickinger was booked in the Lexington County Detung Center.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) examines and says that further information will be available in an upcoming press release.

The city of Irmo published an explanation with the words:

The city of Irmo is known that council member Erik Sickinger was arrested on Tuesday afternoon by representatives of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). The city was announced that it was brought to the Detention Center of Lexington County and that the indictment against him was not related to his role as a member of the Council.

Since this is an active law enforcement matter, the city will not make any further comments.
