The JPS bus was involved with an accident when the students were released early due to bad weather

Jackson, Miss. –

A public school bus from Jackson was involved in an accident.

The students were released from school early Tuesday because they expected bad weather.

At around 1 p.m., a bus collided with an SUV in the Lynch Street. The Jackson police answered.

Witnesses said the bus had elementary school students. No injuries were reported.

A second school bus arrived at the scene to transport the children from the bus involved in the accident.
