The Kauai police arrest more suspects for ongoing jewelry fraud examinations

Lihue (Hawaiinewsnow) – The police from Kauai have made additional arrests in connection with an ongoing examination of the fake jewelry.

According to the police, the fraud addressed the residents of residents.

Six men were detained because of a suspected jewelry fraud and are recorded in the KPD cellblock.

The authorities arrested Konstantin Miclescu (34) initially in New York and Sarai Gheorghe, 23, in Maryland, to pass on February 19 due to fraud.

On February 20, the police made four additional arrests for fraud:

  • Inilian Constantin, 30, in Maryland
  • Sofian Miclescu, 28, in New York
  • Konstantin Miclescu, 26, Maryland
  • Remus Miclescu, 29, in Washington

KPD said that all six men are Romanian citizens.

“Thanks to the persistence and thorough investigation of our officers and the vigilance of the public, we have made great progress,” said deputy chief Mark Ozaki. “These groups often act as organized crimes and aim at our Kupuna. We want every inhabitant of Kauai to feel safe and know that those responsible are being held accountable for their crimes. “
