The law enforcement authorities of Israel requested the murders of the Arab sector – Israel News

The incumbent lawyer of the public service Commissioner, Roi Kachlon, has asked General Prosecutor Gali Baharav-Meara to explain a “assertiveness” in response to a recent increase in murders in the Arab sector.

In a letter sent on Monday evening, Kahlon called for weekly meetings under law enforcement officers to develop an immediate, coordinated reaction to escalating violence.

This is Kahlon's second appointment to the Attorney General within one month. He found that 10 additional civilians have been murdered since his last application, whereby the Arabic-Israeli community has been killed in the Arabic-Israeli community since the beginning of the year.

Kahlon emphasized that fighting this crisis is the only responsibility of law enforcement.

“Murders occur almost every day. The government or its representatives lack the powers of enforcement that would enable them to stop the wave of murders and to reduce rampant criminal organizations. Only the law enforcement authorities have the ability – and the duty – to act, and the time is of crucial importance,” he wrote.

What is the long -term plan to tackle the murder in the Arab sector?

He confirmed his call to weekly mandatory meetings between law enforcement authorities and government specialists and emphasized that this is not a theoretical discussion, but an operational discussion.

Kahlon beyond immediate emergency measures emphasized the need for a long -term strategic plan. He dismissed earlier updates on legislative changes and routine law enforcement measures as inadequate.

“A strategic plan must set clear, measurable goals – including the disassembly of criminal organizations and the destruction of their economic and operational infrastructure,” he said.

The plan, he argued, must be comprehensive and reflect the collective efforts of the Israel police, the tax authority, the public prosecutor, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the anti-money laundering authority.

“Operation Cities”

According to Kahlon, these agencies must consolidate their efforts into a uniform plan with the aim of reducing criminal networks.

Kahlon also referred to “Operation Cities”, an initiative that was started by the national task force to combat crime in the Arab community as part of the office of the Prime Minister, in coordination with the Israel police.

While he recognized his importance, he insisted that it was not enough.

“A memory emergency must be explained, with clear and immediate operational consequences to effectively reduce criminal organizations,” he wrote.
