The leaked DJI Osmo 360 image suggests that GoPro and Insta360 should worry

A leaked picture apparently shows the DJI Osmo 360 next to the Insta360 x4
The lens looks larger than the X4, which indicates a different sensor size
The design has more with the GoPro Max, the successor of which is delayed

DJI sees on the 360-degree camera area when a number of rumors and a recently learned picture have something to do.

Tireless DJI-LAKER @Hakasushi divided the image of the rumored DJI OSMO 360 on X (formerly Twitter), in which it is located in addition to the Insta360 x4, the best 360-degree camera that is currently available-and DJis Osmo Action Camera (see below).

Based on the picture @hakasushi makes an observation of the rumored OSMO 360 – its lens diameter seems to be wider than the X4. This probably means that the OSMO 360 has a larger image sensor.

Based on Track Records, this is not a surprise. Djis Osmo Action 5 Pro priorizes the sensor size compared to the resolution, with the aim of better image quality in poor lighting conditions than GoPro Hero 13 Black and Insta360 ACE Pro 2 rival.

Size is important

The wishful thinking would point out that the rumored OSMO 360 sensor represents a much larger 1-inch size-the same type, which can be found in the DJI OSMO-Pocket 3 Vlogging camera.

However, we would not be surprised if DJI used the same 1/1.3-inch sensor as the Action 5 Pro uses in its potential 360-degree camera is still larger than the 1/2-inch type used by the Insta360 x4, even if it is a little smaller than a 1-inch sensor.

The leaked image also confirms that DJI identified the square form factor similar to the GoPro Max as to the embroidery-like profile of the Insta360 X4-and that is bad news for GoPro, the max 2 of which has been made by numerous delays and does not yet have to be released.

Every design is better suited for different users. The square design is probably better for extreme sports, since it is less likely that it is the stick-like factor, while the stick-like factor for vlogging is probably better.

DJI is on a role and the start of its first 360-degree camera would be a welcome upgrade in a room-we expect that it is a different view of the X4.
