The Leander police are examining bombs and shooting threats to the Wiley Middle School

The persons of interest said that the impending calls made on Sunday were a prank, according to the Leander Police Authority.

Leander, Texas – an examination is underway after two threats against a Leander ISD Middle School were carried out at the weekend.

According to the Leander Police Department, both were reported against the Wiley Middle School and a shootout of the school shots against the Wiley Middle School. The law enforcement authorities said that they received both threats within an hour.

The police said that the bomb threat was suspended by an anonymous caller with a blocked number, and another person reported a shootout to the middle school on Monday.

After further investigations, the police identified two young people as the interest representative: one from the Leander region and the other from a separate part of Texas.

The young people “claimed that the phone calls were a prank” and said that according to the law enforcement authorities, they did not have to violate someone. Who have been of interest and their families have communicated with the officials since then, but the identity of those involved remains anonymous.

The police said that there is no credible threat at this time, but increased police presence will be an additional security measure on the Wiley Middle School on Monday.

Since both people involved are minors, the police will not announce their identity or other information about the investigation.
