The man gets his suitcase with initials, hysterics monogrammed through the result

A contribution that shows an amusing coincidence with a monogrammed suitcase has become so viral on Reddit Newsweek spoke to an expert about luggage and whether it is a good idea or not to monogram them.

The article, which is shared by the user U/dalecookie on the R/Mildly interesting sub -forum, has a picture of a black suitcase with the “Bag” label on it. Post has accumulated 75,000 upvotes since its parts on February 24th.

A caption shared with the pictures explains: “My father monogrammed his suitcase, but his initials are 'bag', so that it looks as if he has called his bag.”

The viral contribution comes because in November last year 148,420 ill -treatment in 10 large airlines in the United States were reported. This emerges from the last flight consumer report published by the US Transport Ministry (DOT).

The number of abused bags represents all the tested bags that “lost, damaged, delayed and designed, as reported by or in the name of the passenger,” says the point.

The latest Reddit post raises questions about the practicality of luggage.

The retail strategist Jeanel Alvarado, the founder and CEO of retail boss, told Newsweek This monogram of a case facilitates the identification of luggage claims.

“Travelers who want to add their initials to a suitcase can help you to recognize it faster when spending the luggage and easily identify it when it has mixed up or stolen. If your initials are visible, it is unlikely that someone will incorrectly accept it,” said Alvarado.

However, she also pointed out potential disadvantages to personalize the luggage in this way. “It can also have a disadvantage, so buyers should weigh the professionals with the disadvantages. For example, their bag can even attract more attention than they want and can make their personal data known to the strangers.” she said.

With regard to the viral Reddit contribution, Alvarado added: “This is actually perfect because it is distinguishable, but completely ambiguous for the name Initial.”

She also warned against monogramming the name or initials of a child because they could represent security risks by easier to use strangers to use the information to trust a child.

“Instead, a luggage day or another option to identify the bag like a sticker or a bound band opt for those who want to monogram their bags,” she suggested a better choice.

Another practical consideration is the resale value. Alvarado noticed: “Monogrammed bags are sometimes impossible for sale as soon as they are personalized because they are less attractive for second-hand buyers. So expect drastically lower resale prices.”

“Most of the dadding of all time”

Despite these considerations, it is clear that the father's suitcase monogram has triggered a widespread amusement among Reddit users. Many commented on the unintentional humor of the situation.

“This is the dadding of all time. He is probably so proud of it.” Yes, that's my bag “, wrote U/Fuzzyhaven.

Another commentator, U/Milstd, added: “This is the next level father who jokes”, while U/impressive-Bee6484 said: “Okay, that's really fun!”

U/Square Combination33 said: “It has this fresh label manufacturer energy”, while the U/Eedabaggadix “I love it”.

Newsweek has contacted the original poster via the Reddit Messaging system for a comment.
