MIAMI – The public prosecutor announced on Wednesday afternoon that she will now treat a shootout on Miami Beach as hate crimes on February 15.

The police said Mordechai Brafman, 27, opened a vehicle and beat two men along the Pine Tree Drive, which said that detective was said afterwards: “While he was driving his truck, he saw two Palestinians and killed both.”

Officials from the Miami-Dade public prosecutor said that they had “examined the evidence in this case (and believe) that they fulfilled the legal requirements for improving criminal criminal punishment”.

After groups, including the Council for American-Islamic relationships, there were hate crimes in this case.

“The SAO hate criminal department checks every criminal offense that has the potential to be motivated by hatred to see whether the law on the improvement of Florida is applicable to the specific situation,” said Sao, Ed Griffith. “As a result of her review, the improvement of hate criminal sentence was submitted to the Criminal Court.”

Griffith said that the prosecutors intend to raise the extended accusations of the first degree on a crime on March 10 to a judge in Miami-Dade when Brafman is to be charged.

In the meantime, Brafman's lawyer claimed in a court appearance on Tuesday that his client was incompetent to stand in court and should be evaluated.

Brafman's defense team claims that at the time of the shootout he experienced “a strong emergency for mental health” and said that it was “assumed that his ability to fake well -founded judgments was significantly impaired.”

Until Wednesday, Brafman remained imprisoned in the Guilford Knight Correctional Center Turner without bond.
