The next Wildcats football season begins on August 30 | News

Bethune-Cookman Football will begin his third season of the Raymon NNPA Newswire d Woodie Jr. Era with a challenging 2025 time plan, which includes five home competitions in the Daytona Stadium, six away games, with the annual Florida Blue Florida Classic Matchup against Florida A & M.

The Wildcats open the 2025 Slate on August 30th in the Pitbull Stadium against Florida International. The last match between the Wildcats and the Panthers occurred in 2014 when B-CU a win of 14-12 against the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) peg opponent achieved the second of its kind in so many years against the panthers.

The Panthers are looking for a fresh start under the new head coach Willie Simmons.

In the second week, the wildcats will return to Miami for the second time in which Miami University in the eighth installation of the series has been to be against the Hurricanes since 2011. The last time the wildcats played the hurricanes was in 2023.

Bethune -Cookman stays on third street on the street to see an old enemy in the form of South Carolina State for the first time in 2022.

B-CU has a famous story with the former conference comrade South Carolina State, who at the time declines in the mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

The teams have played a total of 58 times since 1959, and SCSU has a 34-2 lead of all time.

Home Opener: September 20th

The Home Opener 2025 will play against the tigers of Edward Waters on Saturday, September 20th. The last time the wildcats competed against the EWU, ended in 2010 and ended with a 70:10 victory for the wildcats at home.

Homecoming 2025 offers for the first time as a member of the Swac and for the first time since 2005, when the cats organized the Golden Lions, 31-17, for the first time since 2005, in Bethune-Cookman, the Arkansas-Pine Bluff (October 25) for the first time as a member of the Swac and for the first time since 2005.

B-CU opens the month of November with a visit to the Mississippi Valley State (November 1) and the new head coach Terrell Buckley.

The wildcats won three consecutive competitions against the Delta Devils, with a few victories in ITTA Bena, Mississippi, on the street, including the 20:10 triumph of the past year on an MVSU return weekend.

The season ends with travel to the Grambling State (November 8) and the defense of Swac and Cricket Celebration Bowl Champion Jackson State (November 15).

The Florida Blue Florida Classic against Famu is planned for November 22nd at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
