The one mini series that every “Harry Potter” fan should see

Sometimes life is difficult. And in today's political landscape it can feel impossible. For this reason, it is nice to be able to escape everything for just a few hours and immerse ourselves into a fictional world – a place where happy ends are not only possible, but probably also possible. For many, this undoubtedly reminds of the wonderful world of Harry Potter With its speaking portraits, flying cars, invisibility cloaks and butter beer. However, it is not the only fantasy franchise out there that deserves your time. Before the boy who ever lived The 10th kingdom The fact that I would say was just as entertaining.

The series made his debut in 2000 and follows the history of Virginia Lewis (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), a young woman who transports herself to a magical parallel world, in which beloved fairy tales have to be saved from the anger of evil queens. To use my best stone voice: this project has all-magic mirrors, trolls, a good-looking half-wolf, enchanted hair, the murderer monarch and more fairy tale action strands than you can count. When it comes to magical adventures, it doesn't get much better than that.

If Harry Potter left her for tensions, it is high time to check this underestimated fantasy jewel.

It has a serious star power

Wherever you hand over in this series, you will recognize a familiar face. Williams-Paisley serves as a central character, Virginia, of which many of them are recognized as annionations Father of the bride. But it is only the top of the proverbial Hollywood ice cream.

Scott Cohen (also known as Max Medina from Gilmore Girls) plays the charming pretty wolf; Dianne Wiest serves as an evil queen; Modern familyEd o'Neill is enjoyed, the troll king; John Larroquette is Virginia's father Tony; Lucy Punch shines as a fairytale -like common girl, Sally Peep; Camryn Manheim plays Snow White; And Ann-Margret portrays Cinderella. It is serious, a Who is who of entertainment sizes, which makes the whole thing all the more pleasant.

It contains an epic love story

If you enjoy a good slow fire and not not-the romantic subplot, you will not be disappointed what Wolf and Virginia have to offer. The chemistry between Williams-Paisley and Cohen is noticeable and includes a big mix of longing and inauguration. You can't stop yourself from moving for you, despite Wolfs … uh … complicated Appetite. I will just say it – Harry and Ginny have nothing in these two. (Sorry, I'm not sorry.)

There is a surprising turn

I will obviously not reveal what it is for those who have not yet seen the series first -hand, but every good adventure story needs a groundbreaking turn to shake up the characters, and it provides a stupid. Seriously, it will shock them to their core and question them everything they know about every character what they knew about every character. Are you already fascinated? I hope so! May I have the whole thing a little too much? No.

This series may not have a large cult support like Hocus Pocus or beetleBut trust me when I say that it deserves both your time and your attention. Not to mention that you will remind you of why you loved fairy tales so much.
