Chandrasekharan said in a Facebook post that he would not try to protect his son, “although the drugs were confiscated by one of his friends.”

“Even if it is my son, it's a wrong wrong. If he committed a crime, he must be punished. Those who eat salt have to drink water. Therefore, there was no intervention in this matter, and there will be no one in the future, ”he said.

The activist also claimed that the police did not intentionally catch his son in the case. “You only did your job,” he said.

“My son promised that he will no longer use drugs and fight against them. He admitted to consuming drugs in the past six months. I never suspected it, ”he added.

Chandrasekharan promised to continue his struggle against forbidden substances, and continued to claim that this was the first time before such an incident in his public life.

“So let the police take their course on. Such an experience in my own family has happened today. Tomorrow it could happen to someone else, ”he said.

Chandrasekharan asked the people in Kerala to take care of their children, which he saw as a growing drug abuse in the state. “It was difficult to monitor their activities and friendships,” he said, warning that “devils spread their networks and address children”.

“As soon as they are addicted, they are caught. They (children) do not recognize what they do as soon as the intoxicants spread in their veins, ”he said in his post and asked the consumption tax and police authorities to remain very vigilant.
