The residents of Southwest Madison drove fire to the apartment complex

Madison, Wisconsin (WMTV) – Inhabitants of an apartment complex in the southwest of Madison, according to the Madison Fire Department, will be sold on Thursday after a kitchen fire.

According to MFD, the residents evacuated in the apartment complex in the 7600 block of the Mid Town Road before 6.10 p.m. when a fire alarm was expired. MfD crews heard the water alarm and found a sprinkler inside the building.

A resident on the third floor told the firefighters that the fire was out.

According to the MfD report, the residents said they had broken some food when one of them saw a flame on the stove. The residents splashed water on the flames that caused a flash, and the sprinkler head switched on automatically.

MfD said the residents were displaced and two units under the fire took place were also affected. Nobody was injured.

MFD recalled that the residents do not put water on fat or oil fire because it is not recommended because the fire spreads. Instead, the residents are asked to cover the pan with a lid or a biscuit leaf in order to try to extinguish the fire and switch off the stove. If the fire gets too big, call 911.
