The rifle ends sixth place at NCAA championships

Lexington, Ky. – The TCU Women's Rifle team completed on Saturday in Lexington Action at the NCAA rifle championships in Lexington, Ky. The TCU fired an air rifle of 2,377 and finally took sixth place among the eight participants at the event. Katie Zaun Qualified for her second final of the weekend and took sixth place individually.

The Smallbore score of the TCU from 2,335 was the fourth, while its 2,377 Air rifle took sixth place. Katie Zaun's The total value of 1,188 was fifth among all competitors.

Once again the TCU sent its three all-Americans to the line in the first relay. Zauns 599 made all shooters in the opening relay. Mikole Hogan fired a 594 and Christina Hillinger A 589.

In the second relay, Rylie Passmore wore a 594 at and Micah Hates A 590.

After shooting 164.9 in the individual finale, fence took sixth place.

West Virginia shot a 4,738 to win the National Championship, and only wore Kentucky (4,737). Alaska Fairbanks took third place with a 4,726, followed by Ole Miss (4,716) and Georgia Southern (4,713). The Air Force (4,703) took the seventh and Murray State (4,693) eighth.
