The schedule, which was completed in Burrell's Bon Air Elementary, Task Forces, with the school princes

Three months planning and reviews of newly configured buildings in Burrells Bon Air Elementary and Huston Middle Schools have come to an end next year.

Superintendent Shannon Wagner said that the schedule of the Bon Air Elementary School had been approved by the Task Force “with a majority”.

Since the school authority voted in October for the closure of Stewart Elementary, two Task Forces by around 20 employees and parents were charged at the schools for the recommendation and review of building plans and layouts.

The fourth grade will take part in Bon Air next year and the fifth grade will go to Huston.

The schedule explains the corresponding instruction for each class, adds the transitional times for students from lessons to lessons and a planning time of 50 minutes for teachers before the students enter the building for the day.

Harmeroom teachers also have a 50-minute planning time in which their students have specials. Specials are courses such as art and music.

Wagner said that the approved Bon Air time plan gives two restrictions that the building management will check between now and the summer. You can surround the lunchtime for kindergarten teachers and first class students and check the time span for discharge.

“It is simply a change from the teacher's teacher, not about the student plan,” said Wagner. “We will have a pretty good idea so that everything can be set before the summer.”

The school authority does not have to approve the schedules and Baulayouts approved by the Task Forces, but members of the Task Force and Wagner will present their results to the board at a meeting on March 11.

Later in spring, the board will fight with decisions and construction projects to Bon Air, Huston and Burrell High School, which could cost a total of 24 million US dollars. A cafeteria add -on, air conditioning and repairing boilers in Bon Air are estimated at a total of 10 million US dollars. District officers say that the cafeteria is required to accommodate fourth grade students.

If Burrell moved the fifth graders up in the air for the school year 2026-27 and turned the school into a K-5 building, an additional class wing would be required. This would increase the costs for Bon Air projects to an estimated 14 million US dollars.

The board would request bids for both Bon Air projects. Suggestions require the review and approval by the planners of Lower Burrell City. It is expected that the architect of the district, Pittsburgh HHSDR Inc. will be located, the building plans will submit in April, the city council will check them in May and the school authority will be awarded contracts in June.

This is all, while the board also plays with an estimated 10 million dollar -heating and cooling projects at the high school. The high school also has no air conditioning, and its HLK system is from 1964, the year in which the building was opened.

District officers say that if they keep Stewart School open, they would have needed 17 million US dollars for upgrades in addition to the projects now taken into account.
