“We just went into the back of the classroom and sat there until they said it was clear,” said the student Zechariah Belin.

While the students were crowded together in the classroom, a parent nearby waited for their child to get out of the bus.

“Everything I heard were shots, a number of police officers,” said parents Quanishia Myers. “I was afraid. Because you know that there is so much going on between schools, children get off between violence and the neighborhood. There is just a lot going on.

One parent said that fear was the main feeling that flows through it on Thursday afternoon.

“My heart has just fallen. Because I hear it all the time. But of course they hear it everywhere else, but I didn't expect to hear it from my son's school, ”said parents Stephanie Belin.

The two shooting victims were treated for life -threatening injuries and brought to Atrium CMC, said Medic.
