The secret of a very bizarre reason in Korea becomes a secret as an Australian city

A popular pasta dish that conquered South Korea in the storm was named after a modest Australian city.

'Toowoomba Pasta' was created by the Australian American Diner Chain Outback Steakhouse and surprisingly became popular in Korea.

The slightly spicy meal, which is often referred to as “toowoomba chicken”, is a creamy pasta dish of fried chicken and mushrooms.

An Australian traveler scratched his head after noticing the odd name in a menu in a chicken shop.

The traveler is curious why it is named after an Australian city and posted in search of answers to Reddit.

“I was recently in Korea and saw it in a roast chicken business. Can Koreans explain? 'The Redditor wrote and shared a picture of the menu.

The court is often on menus in restaurants and in cheap shops to take away in Korea.

Obsessed fans cannot get enough of the rich Umami sauce in Umami, which is equipped with shrimps, mushrooms, parmesan, cream, soy sauce and a hit made of garlic and Korean chilli for 25,900 KRW or about 29 US dollars.

Peter Lee, board member of the Australia Korea Foundation, told ABC that the franchise was “popular”.

“In Korea, outback steakhouse is connected to Australia – it is marketed as an Australian thing, although it comes in Florida,” he said.

The pasta prove to be so popular that pre-packed versions in convenience stores even appear across South Korea.

The 'accidental' dish that was inspired has now returned to Australia with local gourmets in Tikkok to whip her own versions to see what the whole excitement is about.

The creative Andrea Love from Queensland Dietitian and Food was fascinated after hearing toowoomba pasta for the first time and wanted to try it out for himself.

“This is definitely a funny dish with an interesting background story – that made me reproduce it at all,” she said to Femail.

'So good! Gochugaru and soy sauce in a creamy pasta work very well, ”she said surprisingly well,” she said.

But some Australian fans couldn't leave the delusion.

“I live in Toowoomba and was freaked out when I saw toowoomba pasta in a K drama on the menu. They learn something new every day,” said a woman.

“A Korean turn of an American idea how Australian eat Italian food,” added another.

Others scratched their heads about why the pasta dish had its name from the coast from the coast with seafood.

“An American chain with a seafood court that is named after an Australian city that is almost 200 kilometers from the next coast and is sold in Korea,” said a confused Aussie.

While others only have an exception of Outback Steakhouse – an American chain – used Australian culture.

“Outback Steakhouse is the most non-explosive what there has ever been,” said a man.

An Australian who tried the popular meal in Seoul spoke to the Korean manager about the unusually named dish.

The manager told him that most Koreans had no idea where toowoomba was, and thought it was only a random name for the delicious main meal.

Few people who have actually tried the pasta do not complain.

“So good, I'm obsessed,” said a fan.

“It's amazing,” said another.

Italians still have to share their reaction.
