The shooting in Richmond Heights kills the Euclid woman; The suspect found dead

Maifield Heights, Ohio – A Euclidian woman was killed in front of an apartment complex on Tuesday at a shootout, and the suspect was later found dead in Mayfield Heights, the police said.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner office identified the victim as Mariah Sanders, 25. It was declared dead before the apartment complex in the 400 block of Richmond Park.

Calvin Williams, chief of police at Richmond Heights, says Cleveland.com News Partner WKYC Channel 3 that a little girl was found alive near Sanders and is now being looked after by her grandmother.

According to the Mayfield police police, the suspect, a 23-year-old man, died of an obvious, self-inflicted gunshot wound. The police announced that he was found dead shortly before Wednesday.

The police had searched for the suspect in the area near the area of ​​Lander Road and the Ridgebury Boulevard and in the area of ​​the Marsol Road near the Chelmsford Road. The police did not say exactly where the suspect was found dead.

Helicopters were used in the search for the suspect, the police said. The residents were recommended to stay inside during the search.
