The state asks for a further delay in the missing Kahleb Collins case; Investigation not completed

Fayette, ala. – The state of Alabama submitted an application for the provisional hearing against Wendy Pamela Bailey and John Bailey, which were originally planned on March 11, 2025.

The application, which was submitted electronically on March 5, 2025, calls on the court to postpone the hearing to the next available docket. The state emphasized the need for additional time to prepare its case appropriately against both defendants.

“The state of Alabama, respectfully, calls for the above March 2025, files, to be the next available preliminary hearing docking so that the state can provide its case to this honorable court appropriately,” said Hamlin in the application.

The decision now lies with the court to determine whether he grants the application and sets a new date. If it were approved, it would be the third delay in the provisional hearings.

It is believed that a year old Kahleb Collins is dead, but his remains were not recovered despite several searches in Fayette County.

The child's disappearance was made aware of the authorities on December 8 after an accident with an individual vehicle, Steven Bradley Collins, and two -year -old sister Ryleigh Collins claimed. Kahlbs Mother Wendy was also injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. According to a report by State Troopers, Steven Collins drove 90 miles per hour. He emigrated from the street and hit a tree. Ryleigh was not held back in a car seat and declared dead at the crime scene.

Wendy Bailey is charged with abuse of a body, a criminal murder, domestic violence and severe child abuse. Court documents have revealed terrible details in the case in which Wendy Bailey had not intervened more than two times and bare with winding “like a rope, physically attacked and bound on a rope with the blood and the roaring presence”. The submission says that there is photographic evidence.

Documents in connection with the indictment of domestic violence against Wendy Bailey report from Kahlbs Father Steven Collins Bailey sent an SMS that says he would kill the child. This was followed by photos by Kahleb “with a rope with blood on his body.” Then a text message was sent by Steven Collins, in which he “moves (sic)” and “I'm so sorry (sic).” Another text then said “he moved.” Wendy Bailey replied: “He just looks and has tired and hurt, hopefully that's all.”

John Bailey, Kahlbs Grandfather, is accused of not reporting a missing child in connection with balancing.
