The suspect imprisoned after the police officer had shot the armed person when approaching the approach

Bryan, Texas (KBTX )a Bryan police officer was shot on Saturday evening when he examined a report by an armed suspect in an apartment complex, according to the department.

The shootout occurred around 8:01 p.m. in the Sandy Creek Apartments in the 1800 Block of Sandy Point Road. The police said the official had seen a well -known suspect who exhibited a pistol with three other people in the complex.

When the official approached, the police said that the suspect opened the fire through a vehicle and hit the officer at the end. The official was treated in a local medical facility and has been released since then.

According to the police, the suspect joined a nearby forest area, which led to great searches with the Bryan police and the surrounding law enforcement authorities. The police say they arrested a suspect and say that the public does not give an active threat or danger.

The Bryan police authority thanked the community and supported agencies for their support in the investigation.
