The suspect was looking for a fatal violet shooting

New Orleans (Wvue)-The St. Bernard Parish office's office after a fatal shootout in Violet on March 13, an arrest warrant for a 21-year-old man issued, Sheriff James Pohlmann announced.

The suspect Leilan Nelson from the 2200 block of the Colonial Boulevard in Violet is sought because of the second degree murder.

The deputies answered a call at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the 2200 block of the Colonial Boulevard. On arrival, officers found an adult male victim who suffered from a gunshot wound. The victim was declared dead at the crime scene.

Detectives of the Criminal Investigations Bureau identified Nelson as a suspect. Sheriff Pohlmann explained that the shootout was an isolated incident between acquaintances and that no other injuries were reported.
