The Syracuse police provide timeline for Latommie Bell murder examination

The Syracuse police authority has published a timeline in which the events and investigative efforts in connection with the murder of 23-year-old Latommie Bell are listed. The incident, which took place on February 5, 2025, led to a comprehensive examination, which ultimately led to the arrest of a suspect, Marlon B. Mason.

Incident overview

On February 5, 2025, officials from the Syracuse police department responded to a report by a person in the 300 block of the Richmond Avenue. On arrival, they found a man who was later identified as Latommie Bell and was lying on the street. He did not react and showed no signs of breathing. The emergency staff transported Bell to the Upstate University Hospital, where, despite life -saving measures, he was died to his upper body due to an obvious stab wound.

After Bell's death, the murder unit of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) cited a comprehensive investigation.
