A first watchful weather day is available until the early afternoon, as a number of showers and storms across parts of the Midlands east. The main storms are just in front of a cold front that later pushes through the area. This storms offers the possibility of a strong to heavy thunderstorm. Damage to wind gusts would be the main concern for strong storms, but a tornado cannot be excluded. Today's serious threat remains in parts of the Midlands until the early afternoon. While a secondary amount of showers and storms can be developed later this afternoon this evening, it will not be weatherproof. In the afternoon, the sky is airy behind the front with winds.

A Lake Wind Advisory stays into force with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour until 8 p.m.

After the front, the temperatures will cool off on Monday to start the new week. It is expected that the heights will tower over in the mid -1960s with a mostly sunny sky.

Another quick warming up in the 70s will probably look until Tuesday and Wednesday of the coming week. Another short decline in temperatures to the 1960s is forecast until Thursday.
