Investigation

To check the claim, Vishvas News used the Google Open Search tool to carry out a keyword search. However, we have not found a credible news report that confirmed the virus claim. If such a significant decision had been made in Delhi, it would have been widespread by the media. This confirms that the viral contribution is misleading.

During our investigation, we found a six -year news report about Bhaskar.com, which was about the central government on September 1, 2019 implemented 63 provisions of the law on the motor vehicles in 2019. However, the congress condemned Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab, together with the governments of West-Bengal and Telangana, did not implement the new law.

The report also provided a detailed explanation of the most important changes introduced by the new law, which can be seen below.

A detailed copy of this law can be accessed by clicking on this link. After several changes, it was officially implemented in 2019. The associated Gazette of India can also be read here.

During our investigation, we found a press note on the PIB website of August 28, 2019. The Ministry of Road Traffic and motorways announced the provisions of the Law on Motor Vehicles 2019, which came into force on September 1, 2019. These provisions had to be no further changes to the central vehicles from 1989.

VISHVAS News carried out a detailed investigation into X and found old contributions to this information about PIB India and DD News. A contribution by PIB India on August 1, 2019 provided detailed information on the revised traffic sentences. In a similar way, DD News put into force on September 1, 2019 that the 2019 Act change Act came into force and that the violations with a fine of 5000 rupees for the jumping of the Red Light, RS 10,000 for drunken driving and RS 5000 were exposed to driving without a valid driving license.

The previous investigation has confirmed that the changes to the traffic fines were made in 2019.

To further check, contacted Vishvas News VK Shucla, chief correspondent from Dainik Jagran, Delhi. He confirmed that the viral post is wrong and explained that no changes to the Motor Vehicle Act have been made since 2019.

In addition, Vishwas News Noida DCP Traffic, Lakhan Singh Yadav, who also confirmed that this information is old. He explained that no recent changes were made in relation to the fine and the revision of the fines took place in 2019.

Finally, we examined the user's Facebook account 'Bebaak Charcha', who published the viral contribution and found that the user is described as the Rudrapur residents with Over11000 -followers.
