The Turkish football club Galatasaray has accused Jose Mourinho of submitting “racist statements”, and said that criminal proceedings against the Fenerbahce Manager would initiate his comments after the team's 0-0 draw in the super league.

While it was unclear which statements Galatasaray had referred to, Mourinho said that the home team had jumped “like monkeys” and the match would have been a disaster if a Turkish referee was responsible.

The game on Monday was done by Slovenian Slavko Vincic after both clubs applied for a foreign official.

Galatasaray said on X that Mourinho had “directed to the Turkish people” since taking over his role in the league.

“Today, his discourse on only immoral comments is taken into clearly inhumane rhetoric,” said the club.

“We hereby officially declare our intent to initiate criminal proceedings in relation to the racist statements by Jose Mourinho, and accordingly uses official complaints at UEFA and FIFA.”

The former Manager of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Mourinho, was previously punished and suspended for his comments on Turkish Match officials. The Portuguese again criticized Turkish referees in a press conference after the game.

“After the game I went to the referee's changing room. Of course, the fourth official was there, a Turkish referee, ”said Mourinho.

“I told him [Vincic]Thank you for coming here because you come a big game and are responsible for a big game.

“And I turned to the fourth official and myself [said]”This game would be a disaster if you are the referee.”

“And when I say it, I say the general tendency.”

Mourinho also praised Vincic for not giving Yusuf Akcicek a yellow card at the beginning of the game, even though the Galatarary Bank reacts to a challenge.

“I also have to thank the referee, because with a Turkish referee after the big dive in the first minute, your bank jumps like monkeys on the top of the child, with a Turkish referee you would have a yellow card after a minute and after five minutes I change him, ”he added.
