The two -year -old girl tragically died after a house fire

Lexington County, SC (awake) – A tragic fire in a house in Pelion took the life of a two -year -old girl early Saturday morning.

The Lexington County Fire Service (LCFS) arrived at the 504 Canal Drive around 2:12 a.m.

The report consisted of a residential structural tax and a potential inclusion.

On arrival, law enforcement found the residence on fire.

Motor 306 quickly reported the fire as active and started with rescue efforts. Additional emergency units arrived to support both rescue operations and contain the fire.

Despite her efforts, the two -year -old girl was found dead in the house.

An investigation is carried out with the LCFS fire investor, the local law enforcement authorities, the arson and the State Fire Clear Team.

The authorities have secured an arrest warrant and continue to work on determining the origin and cause of the fire.

The identity of the child and further details about the incident have not been published.
