The Ukrainians gather in South Florida and condemn conflicts between Trump and Zelenskyy – NBC 6 Südflorida

Members of the Ukrainian community in South Florida deal with what the future after a meeting in the Oval Office on Friday between President Donald Trump and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy divided into a collision and a tense exchange.

Zelenskyy had a tense public confrontation with Trump and Vice President JD Vance in Washington DC about the question of security guarantees for Ukraine.

More than a hundred people gathered in front of the Hallandale Beach police department. Many were draped into the Ukrainian flag and called chants such as “Freedom for Ukraine” and “We want peace now”. The Hallandale Beach police officers were also at the rally.

The Ukrainian community gathered for peace and freedom, but also condemned the Shouting Match.

“I cannot imagine that at this level can speak to another president with such words, emotions and behaviors,” said Yuliia Oliinyk.

“I don't think it was fair to deal with Ukraine in this way,” said Alex Menzeres.

However, Trump supporters praise the president of how he dealt with the exchange.

“I have to welcome Donald Trump to reduce his foot and do this thing,” said a Trump supporter.

Karina Moisiera, one of the founders of Florida for Ukraine, a non -profit organization in Hallandale Beach, described the meeting with heartbreakers. The non -profit organization demanded the rally on Friday.

She also asks the Americans for support.

“I was more than sure that peace would soon come to Ukraine, but now he was completely turned into the opposite way,” said Moisieieeva. “Without help and support, it will be more difficult, but we will still win because we are fighting for our freedom and democracy.”

A fight in which she is not alone.

“If we stop fighting, we will stop to exist,” said Menzeres.
