The unusual weather in California breaks several plates

Several temperature records in and near Los Angeles were broken on Thursday after atypical winter weather in the southern region of California.

Why is it important

California saw below average rainfall and unusually high temperatures this season. The Los Angeles Times reported.

The forecast of the National Weather Service (NWS) for San Diego said on Sunday that “unusual warm temperatures” were to be expected for all internal areas.

According to NWS Los Angeles, five records were interrupted on February 27th.

This included in the city center of Los Angeles, where 86 degrees were exceeded at 88 degrees on Thursday 2020.

Upcoming forecast for Los Angeles

According to NWS Los Angeles, residents can expect windy conditions from Sunday to Monday. Top gusts of 30 to 50 miles per hour would be common, it said.
