The Vinepair Podcast: Is the food of tips public?

A lot has been talked about the culture of culture recently. On the campaign path, President Trump promised that he would abolish the taxes for tips. At the beginning of March, John Oliver dedicated a segment of his late night show “Last week tonight” to the current state of tilt in the USA, and recent surveys indicate that the majority of Americans have the feeling that culture is out of control, with expectation to spread gratification more than ever before.

This changing way of thinking has a certain validity. Should you probably leave a tip for the employee in a spirits business that has just called you out? Regardless of where you are in this matter, the truth is that some employees of the service industry are paid less than minimum wages if the promise of tips is taken into account. But what should you do if this “promise” becomes less safe?

Today Adam, Joanna and Zach discuss the latest setbacks in the “Vinepair Podcast” and why “Tip Creep” violates people who actually rely on drinking money to make ends meet. A conversation about why adding service fees and various other fees are added for checks is the wrong way to signal that employees are cared for. Switch on more.
