The virus of the Mendocino County woman that her father is a serial killer who is contested by authorities

A woman from Mendocino County went to Facebook with explosive claims that her older father is a productive serial killer who has been responsible for murders worldwide since the 1950s.

A woman from Mendocino County went with explosive claims on Facebook that her older father is a productive serial killer who has been responsible for murders worldwide since the 1950s.

After more than a year of the investigation, the Sheriff's office of the Mendocino County announced on Monday that it had not found any evidence that associated him with murders.

“We spend a lot of time to keep up with this social media contribution,” Sheriff Matthew Kendall told The Press Democrat.

Viral allegations

The woman who identified herself as Maria “Galina” Treil said several posts: “I am Galina. I am the daughter of a serial killer and need your help. “

She said she lived with her father on an 18.5 hectare property in Albion at the end of the 1980s and started to uncover details about the alleged murders in 2012.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, which was shared more than 13,000 times, she claimed that her father had killed at least one person per month from 1965 to 1999, in California, Idaho, Illinois, Oregon and Virginia, Canada, France, the Netherlands and the Mexican border.

She also wrote that her father was ready to work with the law enforcement authorities and lead them to graves – a claim that the Sheriff's office denied.

“The Sheriff's office (the father) did not directly ask (the father) due to his fragile medical state and his information that his family made available, that he will not work with the law enforcement authorities,” said official in a statement.

Treil did not return any inquiries about comments from the press democracy.

The examination does not provide any evidence

The Sheriff officers said their investigations began in January 2023 and partly concentrated on a murder coin of the Mendocino district from the 1970s after Treffil informed the investigators that their father had stood. She provided photos, journal entries and recordings, but detectives could not justify her claims.

In May 2023, the investigators received a DNA sample from their father, but there was no evidence of evidence from the crime scene. They also searched a remote cabin in Comptche, where she claimed that the victims were buried, but did not find any evidence.

The authorities said they could also neither verify their claims about other serial killers, of which she said her father was identified, nor found denominations in the magazines that made them available.

Sheriff's captain Quincy Cromer said that detectives had checked the records that she submitted, but her father's voice was inaudible.

“It was very clear that leading questions were asked and when he made noises, she said:” Oh, he confesses, “said Kendall.” But my detective couldn't say yes, no or anything else. A lot of it was just strange moans. “

Officials: So far no credible information

The Sheriff's office said that potential connections between the man and unresolved cases would continue to investigate, but claimed that no evidence had been determined to support the allegations.

“If everything that is brought in front of us lead to the ground and it does not turn out to be so reported that we can also reach a point where we also stamp to some civil rights here,” said Kendall.
