Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, the MP Cook County received a report on a firearm in a women's bath on the sixth floor of the penalty building George N. Leighton.

The MPs found the gun and identified the owner as a police officer in Chicago.

The official was found in the building and the weapon was returned according to the sheriff office.

No injuries were reported and no further details were published.
