The Winnipeg police arrest 9 when suppressing crime in William Whyte

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) said that after an increase in violent crimes in February, he started an initiative for crime suppression in the neighborhood of William Whyte.

Three murders were recorded in the region last month – two on February 15 in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue and on February 27th in the 500 block of the Magnus Avenue. The police also reacted to several crimes, Arsons and attacks in connection with firearms, which spoke out concerns in both the municipality and the law enforcement authorities.

Initiative for crime suppression

In response to this, the WPS Guns and Bangs unit, supported by auxiliary members of the North District Community, carried out a targeted oppression effort from February 26 to March 9. Officials held a visible presence in the neighborhood, concentrating on gang -related activities and enforcement of court commands.

Her efforts included proactive individual and traffic tasks, the execution of outstanding arrest warrants and the monitoring of the deposit. Many of the criminals involved were associated with criminals and gang organizations.

  • Arrest warrant for the violations of court decisions

  • Criminal police with high risk offenders (Cohrou), sought-after personal exams and enforcement of the deposit: 25
