This day in Florida full blood history captain Bodgit is the 12th Florida breath winner of the Florida Derby

March 15, 1997 –The captain of Team Valor International, Bodgit and Jockey Alex Solis came back from far and circled the field in a wide revolution and now went past the sixteenth Pole in the 12th from the Florida glasses to become the 12 to become the 12TH The Florida burning winner of the Florida Derby of Class 1 in Gulfstream Park.

The Valor team sold in Midway, Ky., Half of him for $ 12.5 million to Margaux Stud, where he started his stallion career in 1998 -with a fee of $ 10,000.
