Three arrested for examining infant abuse

Three people were arrested under age due to the abuse of two infants, the authorities said.

The MPs were sent to a hospital in Columbia on January 31 after the medical personnel reported signs of physical abuse in infants.

The parents, Amos R. Mobley Jr., 24, and Daija Benjamin (23), were later connected by the grandmother of the infants, Anita Hingleton-Mobley, 62, as the suspect of the paternal grandmother of the infants.

According to the Sheriff department of Richland County, each person is faced with two charges for a great physical injury.

During the survey, the investigators found inconsistencies in the parents' statements and led them to suspect.

Officials said that after the examination, the arrest warrants were issued for all three people on February 24th.

The suspects agreed to avert on March 3 in Alvis S. Glenn Detung Center.

The infants remained under medical supervision, but had no life -threatening injuries.

The examination continues.
