Nashville, Tn. – The run of Tennessee Basketball at the SEC tournament in Nashville came only briefly when Florida stood the second half of the Vols to win the second tournament championship with 86: 77 on Sunday afternoon.

Here are three quick snack bars when Tennessee fell into the championship game.

Tennessee fights to consistently slow Florida

Tennessee did something rude in the first Matchup in Knoxville and kept Florida's powerful crime on just 44 points.

It was no surprise that Florida's powerful criminal offense had a lot more success in this meeting, but the Gator's offensive gave Tennessee attack. Florida had 39 points at half -time and agreed with his 42 points from the last meeting with 18:23 to play in the game.

Florida did not create a lack of good look, a total of 32 points in color and a good job to achieve simple baskets in the transition before defending Tennessee. But it was the hard shots that Florida met with VOL defenders who draped over them that were backbreaker.

Florida drilled twice in the first half when the shooting clock had expired. Will Richard hit the first with Jordan Gainey on his face and Denzel Aberdeen hit a deep triple with Jahmai Mashack on his face to close the first half.

Florida ended the game with 86 points to 1.265 points per property and 33% of the shooting from three -point range.

Jordan Gainey speaks Tennesses run

Florida seemed an immediate answer for everything Tennessee could throw on her, and the Vols would not be able to take a real run.

Jordan Gainey had other ideas. On the second day in a row, Gainey was great for Tennessee in the second half and he triggered the run that brought the Vols to five points – as close as in the second half.

Gainey scored nine points in a 2:10 game strip, including a 7-0 run that set Florida's lead to five points with a little more than nine minutes before playing.

The Senior Guard met a large threesome, climbed to the foul and drove to the basket and hit with authority. The Senior Guard scored 24 points from the field with seven out of 15 shootings. Gainey's improvement was stunning this season and he plays his best basketball into the post -season.

Florida wins on the side

Florida could only have won the game based on its high offensive efficiency and solid shootout, but they won as far as they did because of what they did. The Gators won sales, the offensive back rash and the free throw.

Tennessee had no serious sales problem against Florida like this season. But they still lost the sales fight with 9: 8 and Florida did a good job to achieve sales from the pictures.

Where Florida grabbed an important edge, is a glass. The Gators were over a great offensive rebound team throughout the season and hammered Tennessee on the glass, especially when Igor Milicic or Darlinstone Dubar played four-point place.

A total of Florida Out Tennessee 39-25 and 15-5 in the offensive glass recovered. The 12 -second chance of Gator 12 were huge and proved to be a breaker for Tennessee in the second half when they crowded to a comeback.

It was a less significant difference, but Florida was also a little more efficient in the free -wire line. The Gators made 25 of 28 free throwing attempts and Tennessee made 25-of-32 tests.
