Tiger's football shows growth in spring practice

Savannah, Ga. (WTOC) – Savannah State Football completed her tenth practice of spring on Friday morning. The Tigers completed a 5-5 season last year and try to improve and add a winning record.

One of the most important concentration areas in practice was communication because the coaching team determines which players will take over the roles in autumn.

The head coach in the fourth year, Aaron Kelton, said that he had noticed a lot of enthusiasm from this year's group, and the growth of the first season last season was striking for everyone.

“(There is) a lot more leadership,” said Graduate Linebacker Darrian Bell. “I think we really come together as a team, and I think we will be able to meet everything, deal with adversities and simply continue. If we just keep going and continue to do the little things, we get 1% better every day, I think we can really surprise ourselves with what we can do this autumn. “

“I let people know that we are close,” said Kelton. “A big piece of this is our communication, our togetherness, our understanding of what things gain football and achieve these things. So we are optimistic in this coming autumn.”

After the spring holidays have returned next week, the Tigers will end the spring exercises from March 24th to 28th. Friday, March 28th will be the annual orange and blue scroll from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
