14 von-24 against 4-of-19.

These were the 3-point shooting figures for the basketball teams Olympus and Timpview boys in the 5A semi-final on Wednesday evening at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.

Unfortunately, for the Thunderbirds they were not the team that made 14 bombs behind the bow.

The titans entered a passport and shooting clinic and received and made 3 points open, while Timpview had no answers to the 76-58 Olympus victory.

The Thunderbirds fell back around 17 in the first half, but achieved seven in a row to end the second quarter and seemed to swim in the half.

But the titans got a few large offensive rebounds that turned into 3 points, while Timpview started the third quarter with two missed 3-horses and sales.

The Thunderbirds were scanned with 18 points by Junior Tallen Tollestrup, while Junior Dean Rueckert had 14 points.

Olympus received 22 points from Gavin Lowe, who was one of four players in two figures, and one of the five starters who met all 3-pointers.

The titans will play on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the 5a State Finale in the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City Highland.
