In the early 2010s, she started planning with her children as part of a viral madness – and never stopped. Now the 59-year-old from Alberta, Canada, holds the Guinness World Record for the longest time that a woman has spent in a belly plank position.

Wilde's skills are not only impressive, the planning is also ideal for your health. A study in 2023 published in the Journal of Training Rehabilitation with participants between 60 and 69 years showed that those who did not wear regularly 20 to 30 minutes, three times a week for 12 weeks.

A strong core to which planking can contribute can also help us to stay mobile and prevent injuries and pain such as back pain.

Planner for other tasks

As a wild started to plan, her wrist was broken and it was the only form of exercise that she could do.

She put a little longer every day while reading or using her phone. She was impressed when she reached for 10 minutes, so continued.

“I found that I put my computer on the floor, answer e -mails, plan my school lessons and really enjoy, know that it made me stronger. I felt so good and my time improved in the course of the Years “said.

Deep, controlled breathing

Wilde breathed deep breathing to prepare for her world record attempt, which helped her stay calm and make her fear easier.

She breathes deep breathing now, when she wanes her day, not only when planning. For example, make a deep breath and hold on ten before slowing down and repeating his breath.

A study in 2022 published in the Journal of Applied Physiology showed that five to 10 minutes of breathing exercises per day seemed to reduce blood pressure for participants for six weeks, the mirrors of which were unusually high. Daniel Craighead, the main author of the study, said Daniel Craighead, the leading author of the study, previously a replacement for regular exercise, told Business Insider.

Imagine planning yourself

Wilde worked on visualizing herself in perfect form, she said what helped her stay strong when she was in position.

Visualization is a “magical tool,” she said.

A small study by 2016, which was published in the magazine Basic and Applied Social Psychology, showed that its 65 participants, who were all tennis players, achieve a goal after they had imagined this every time.
