Tokyo Marathon results 2025: Crossing the order and official times after spectacular races in Japan | Marathon News

Tadese Tackele and Sutume Asefa Kebede won brilliant victories to win Ethiopia on Sunday 2025 Tokyo Marathon on Sunday.

Kebede followed her success from 2024 with a repetition in the Japanese capital, while Tackele ran home to take the tape for the first time.

Repeat Kebede dominant in Tokyo

Kebede consistently dominated when she was really bobing the opposite to victory and was more than 40 seconds in the first 10 km. When she reached the 20 km brand, this advantage was a huge 1:25, and at 25 km it was two minutes. And it was a lot to lose their breed.

While the gap closes a bit in the second half of the race, it drove home to win Kenya Winfridah Moraa Moseti in a time of 2:16:31, with Ethiopian Hawi Feysa claiming last place on the podium.

PB for raging romp in Japanese

Things were not quite as easy for racking in the men's race, and only in the last 5 km did the Ethiopian star be started. Compatriot Deresa Geleta was his main competitor when the field entered this final phase, but it was takele who still took the crucial break with around 3K to travel.

Tackele would not be refused and when he quickly extended the gap to about 50 m, the battle was only now for second place between Geleta and Vincent Kipkemoi from Kenya.

In the line, the last winning time for Tackele was a great 2:03:23, a new personal best for the 22-year-old child prodigy.
