Top WWE Target loses a big game after contract talks

WWE

A top -free agent who has held contract talks with WWE has lost a big game in NJPW where he is currently starting.

There was a lot of speculation about the future of Jeff Cobb after he had initially reported that WWE had shown interest in signing.

In this report, in which Cobb was referred to as Free Agent, it found that a source pointed out that Cobb had appeared on the internal squad of WWE, which Fightful could not confirm.

Jeff Cobb fueled the uncertainty after this report defeated the former IWGP world -weight champion in Tetsuya Naito to achieve the quarter -finals of the New Japan Cup tournament.

CobB's time in the tournament has now come to an end when Shota Umino defeated on Saturday (March 15th) in her quarter -final game.

In the middle of speculation about what is coming for him, Cobb spoke to his future after the game and found in the interview after the game that he will compete the rest of the New Japan Cup tour and aims at those who ultimately win the tournament.

Interestingly, Cobb said an expression that used synonym for the Roman reign of WWE:

“I will be a good boy and end this tournament tour, and whoever goes out the New Japan Cup champion, I will come, knock, knock and whoever I have to fight you will recognize myself.”

Jeff Cobb reportedly had contract talks with WWE, but at the time of this report there was no confirmation of a business.

We will continue to present updates of Jeff Cobb's status as soon as they are available.
