Tornado Watch for our area until 2 p.m. Sunday in force

A Tornado clock was issued for our region until 2:00 p.m. Edt. This includes each district along the regions of Grand Strand, Pee Dee and border belt. A number of strong to potentially heavy storms are approaching the I-95 corridor this morning and brings the potential for strong to heavy wind gusts together with some possible tornados.

Storm will be possible for the region from 10 a.m. to this evening, although the majority of the worst weather may have disappeared far before sunset.

Futurecast radar shows an active weather in a line that moves through the region from late morning to afternoon, although rain/storms can continue closer to the sunset after the end of the storm.

Regardless of the risk, it is always a good idea to have a way to get a warning if you are used. The best way to do this is to go to your App Store and search “WPDE WX”.

Download the app and activate notifications and location.
