Tornado Watch was exhibited on Sunday until 2 p.m.

In the case of a tornado warning, which indicates that a tornado was spotted or specified, ducal officers send a text and e -mail notification to students, faculties and employees. If the warning area includes the main campus of Duke, the sirens together with text and e -mail notifications will also be activated to lead individuals immediately.

During a Tornado clock, the weather service suggests that people should listen to the threat of weather conditions and later statements and possible warnings. Further information on the Duke emergency plan for Tornados can be found on the Duke Emergency Management website.

A large number of events and activities are planned as part of the opening weekend on the main campus of Duke. Officials have taken precautionary measures for planned outdoor activities for this afternoon and evening.
